# Sector Analysis

> Track sector performance, institutional capital rotation, and structural trends across the market.

Understanding which sectors are leading or lagging the broader market is crucial for locating structural alpha. The **Market Sectors** dashboard helps you track exactly where institutional capital is flowing and identify where market leadership is shifting.

## Navigating the Sector Dashboard

Similar to the Indices tool, the main Sectors dashboard features a dual-view system that you can toggle at the top right:

* **Returns View (Default):** This layout provides a comprehensive technical and fundamental snapshot. It allows you to sort sectors by absolute momentum or find undervalued pockets of the market by sorting via fundamental metrics. You can use the **Columns** dropdown to customize exactly which data points are visible on your screen.
* **Market Breadth View:** This layout reveals the internal health of the sector. It replaces the standard returns with deep-dive constituent metrics, showing exactly what percentage of the sector's stocks are trading above their **20, 50, 100, and 200 EMAs**, as well as tracking extreme daily movers.

## Sector Deep-Dive & Technical Analysis

If you spot a sector breaking out or breaking down, click the **Action** icon (the small box with an arrow) on the far right of its row. This redirects you to a dedicated deep-dive research terminal for that specific sector.

The deep-dive page is packed with advanced, interactive research tools:

* **Interactive Price Range Analytics:** Visually track the sector's current position relative to its 52-week highs and lows using the dynamic progress bars at the top of the screen.
* **Metric Overlays:** Use the chart toggles to switch the main graph from standard Close Price to historical tracking of **P/E Ratio**, **P/B Ratio**, or **Dividend Yield** over custom timeframes (1M to 5Y+).
* **Rolling Returns Matrix:** Evaluate the consistency of the sector's performance by testing different historical holding periods to understand maximum drawdown risks and average historical yields.
* **Live Technical Gauges:** Scroll down to the Technical Analysis section for a real-time summary of the sector's momentum. Watch the live **Buy / Sell / Neutral** gauges powered by a comprehensive breakdown of underlying Oscillators (like MACD and RSI) and Simple/Weighted Moving Averages.
